Baby Toes Ballet is a fun and dynamic program designed to nurture your child’s development of motor skills, creativity, and musicality—all while cultivating a lifelong love of dance and movement! This exciting class blends ballet and jazz techniques, featuring familiar nursery rhymes, along with fun props to keep your little one engaged. It’s the perfect way to introduce your child to the world of dance in a stimulating, enjoyable environment that they’ll love attending each week.
The class promotes independence in a nurturing setting, and is not parent-led. Parents are invited to watch their child’s progress from our large viewing window in the waiting room. Each term, we host an Open Week, allowing parents to sit inside the classroom and see what their child has been learning, and for the children to get the opportunity to perform and showcase their progress. We also introduce an element of discipline with a formal uniform and encourage neat grooming in all our classes.
Baby Toes Ballet lays the foundation for your child’s dance journey, instilling a love for dance that will stay with them as they grow. Classical ballet is encouraged as part of their training, and formal technical training begins at age 6, once children gain better body awareness and maturity. For students pursuing a more serious interest in classical ballet, we offer examinations in the highly regarded Australian Teachers of Dance (ATOD) syllabus.

Your child will learn correct dance technique in a safe, progressive manner from kind, nurturing teachers who inspire a love of dance. Our classes are designed to help even quiet, shy children build confidence in a secure setting.
The curriculum is carefully crafted to suit your child’s developmental stage. We emphasize the importance of uniform, costume, music, and choreography selection, always in line with the Victorian Child Safe Standards to ensure the safety of our students. All teachers hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) and uphold our school’s commitment to the wellbeing of every child.
Our Dance Studio holds an annual Junior School Concert at a professional theatre, where both parents and children can enjoy the performance. This event features a delightful mix of dance styles, with our youngest dancers (ages 3-7) taking the stage, alongside special guest artists from our Senior School.
Located just 30 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD, with classes offered multiple times a week, we’re the ideal studio for your young dancer’s first classes.
We are a one-stop-shop for performing arts in Melbourne. Once your child completes our Baby Toes program, pathways open to learn a larger variety of dance styles, take examination classes, enter competitions and participate in extra performances. Your child can also continue studying as a recreational student on a once per week basis as programs are flexible and can be tailored to what suits your child best.
